Way back in early 2004 Mark Zuckerberg gave birth to Facebook, then at thefacebook.com. At that time Mark Zuckerberg was a sophomore at Harvard University. Facebook was created as a way for Mark Zuckerberg and other Harvard students to keep in touch over the Internet and get to know each other better. Facebook became so popular, in just a matter of months, that is was soon opened to other colleges. It required users to provide their college email address before they can sign up. Due to that, Facebook users were limited. By the end of the following year it was also open to high schools. The year after that it was opened to the general Internet public, as long as you were 13 and older. That was the changes in Facebook that maybe many did not know. As time progressed, the administrator has done a lot of modification to the content so that it will always be relevant and satisfy the users’ needs. Now, we are going to look at some features in Facebook that make this site so interesting.

FEATURES	DESCRIPTION
	Main page: You can create your own account by filling in the details required. Those who already had their own account can log in to Facebook by just inserting their email address and password.
	Homepage: After logging in, you will straight away go to this page.In this page, you will see what is happening in your friends’page. This includes their activities, status updates and so on. However, it is just limited to certain friends as you can’t choose which friends will appear on your `Home’. It will appear randomly. If you want to see the latest updates on your friends’ pages you just have to click `Most Recent'.
	Profile Page : Has lots of features to help you keep in touch with your Facebook friends and make new friends too. Add information about you and tag your friends so you can keep up on what they are doing too.
	Photos : Adding photo and album to your Facebook site. Make your site personal by adding photos to your profile page and then make the site yours by adding photo albums.
	Videos: Upload new videos, deleting videos, tagging videos, receiving and replying new comments from others about your videos. If you want to hide your videos from certain people, just go to privacy setting on profile page.
:	Notes: Create your own notes, tagging notes, receiving and replying comments and so on. Plus, you are able to access your friends’ notes if your friends tagged you on it.
	Friends: Contains friends’ list. It is easy to manage. If you intend to remove or block our friends from the list, you can do so. If you want to open your friend’s page, you can search their page from this page. To make your searching easier, you do not have to scroll down the list to search for their names. Just type their profile name in the box provided. It will directly bring you to their pages.
	Finding friends: Finding friends, both old and new, should be a breeze with Facebook's advanced searched feature. You can also find new friends just by browsing profiles. The browse feature also has a general search function that you can use to sort people by age, gender, interests and other things.
	Groups :There are groups on Facebook. Join some groups to meet more friends. Find groups with other people with the same interests as you and find out who they are. Once you sign up for a group you will be able to participate in the group's discussion board. You will also be kept up to date on what's happening in the group from your profile's editing page.

No Music: You cannot add music to your Facebook profile,only videos can be added.
No Chatroom: No chatroom so that many people can get together online.Facebook only have an IM feature though, it's called Chat.

· Advanced Design : There are no advanced design features on Facebook. The layout design of blue and white colour is fixed.
